When is KS going to have a Dem. US Sen.? It has been 90 years since KS had a Dem. US Sen.

is a book by American journalist and historian Thomas Frank, which explores the rise of populist anti-elitist conservatism in the United States, centering on the experience of Kansas, Frank's native state. In the late 19th century, says Frank, Kansas was known as a hotbed of the left-wing Populist movement, but in recent decades, it has become overwhelmingly conservative."

Great read. Helps explain why places like Kansas have shifted so far to the right.

If Roberts had left office in 2020, Kelly would have appointed a Democrat to Roberts US Senate seat.

Since it came out Kansas has become vastly more right wing. I was living in Kansas then, in the reasonably blue part of the state. I moved to New Mexico in 2008 and am very glad to be here, especially in the very blue northern part.
