Update: I had forgotten about an old Mac Mini that had my whole library on it, or most of...thank you for your post! I am reunited with awesome music I thought gone forever. Mahalo, mahalo, mahalo!

Haven't used iTunes for over 10 tears (it rearranged the location of all my music files), but I seem to recall "syncing".

I noticed there were no longer any files on it.

(13,983 posts)6. Does it have to do with manual or automatic sync?? If you originally manually managed the songs
and switched it to auto it would resync to match only the iPod playlists in iTunes.
At any rate you can just redo it in iTunes.
