iPad, iMac. volume shuts off!

spent the whole afternoon unsuccessfully trying to fix the volume shutting off in Ipad and IMac the I Mac is old but up to date the iPad I got for Christmas should be all good. We stream from YouTube tv for News and I have prime video for a couple of shows also you tube on safari pretty much boomer ability. Meaning not that good with technology. Cleared cache and history from iPad. looked for the side mute toggle button but can't find it. Screens dont look like mine on tutorials. Would be a week or more before my wife's tech friend could look at it. I thought I would ask you guys. Safari 15.2 in iMac The iPad doesn't have a taskbar to be able to look up what's in it. Both are synched so the problem is the same on both of them. Sometimes 1 minute sometimes 10 but volume will shut off Hydro

1. Check your bluetooth.

See if bluetooth isn't grabbing your audio output. That's the one thing I can think of quickly that would affect both.

I had left the Bluetooth adapter on (my new to me) 1960 magnavox concert grand and I must have been on the edge of connection upstairs. What a wasted afternoon. Thank you again
