My cursor obtain vanishes when I use an application and doesn't reappear until I navigate around enough to get the cursor on the desktop and click there
Yesterday my menubar clock wouldn't update until I positioned the cursor on it and clicked: "holy shizz! it can't possible be just 1P! no wait! it's 3:30!"
Today, I'm downloading a large file. I used to be able to check progress by selecting Get Info for the file -- but that's not working correctly
I'm more and more not an apple fanboi

(20,886 posts)Are you using a wireless mouse? Of course that wouldn't explain the clock problem, but might explain the other problems if the battery is low.

(765 posts)The disappearing cursor is something I've encountered as well, and is annoying as heck. People have apparently been reporting it since the new OS came out, but it hasn't been fixed yet.
One solution that does seem to work is to delete extra desktops in Mission Control. It kind of sucks to not have those extra spaces available, but if the disappearing cursor is a bigger problem you might consider it.

(21,691 posts)What machine/processor?
What mouse/trackpad?
What programs are running?
What do you do to reproduce the problem?
You could also take a look and see how many threads are running; it almost seems like there is a process going that maybe shouldn't be.
