A problem with embedded YouTube videos
Video links to YouTube aren’t working for me. When I click on a video, I get a message saying I need to log into YouTube and this is some kind of security process. When I open the YouTube app, I’m logged in and can watch anything but I can’t view the videos on DU. It’s weird and it just started this weekend.
I’m using an updated MacBook Air and an updated iPad Air.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thanks for any help!

(4,937 posts)I don't know if there's been a fix posted. I have gotten this a few times this week. I click at bottom right, go to YouTube, come back, refresh screen, and sometimes it works.

It’s weird because I’ve never had this problem before. I’m sure it’s YouTube/Google’s fault and not DU’s!

(164 posts)I’ve messed around more ways than I can count; sometimes I can get the video to play and the next time I jump through the hoops it doesn’t work!
And there’s that definition of insanity—repeating the same thing and expecting a different result…But NO! It’s not supposed to be that way on the web. Aargh!
