What is this alert about?

I have been seeing a little alert pop up when I turn on my computer and a couple of times afterward and I am suspicious about it.

Alert reads:

AMDRSServ.exe cannot proceed because OpenCL.dll was not found.

And it started showing up after an Ai program tried to load through my PDF reader which keeps trying to get me to open some Ai feature or app. I'm still on WIN10 and have no desire for the upgrade to WIN11 anytime soon on this computer. I have no desire to engage with Ai either and I suspect this alert originates from one of those things but I am not certain.

Anybody know what this is and how to get rid of it? I use a cleanup program whenever I boot up, go on or offline, and prior to shut down to clear all interweb clingons and it does not clear it as it has an exe suffix which concerns me.

Any ideas/help would be welcome.

Thanks!

Try updating any AMD drivers? sl8 Aug 7 #1

In this case, apparently it's the video or graphics card driver(s). sl8 Aug 7 #3

See https://www.windowsdigitals.com/amdrsserv-exe-system-error-opencl-dll-was-not-found/

I'm not familiar with Windows Digitals or Nyau Wai Hoe, so use your judgement, but updating device drivers (from a reputable source) is standard practice.

My cleanup program tells me when drivers need updating, which I do when alerted to do so. What's an AMD driver? I'll check that situation, though. Thanks.

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is a big chip manufacturer.

The author of the article says that particular error is related to the driver(s) for an AMD powered graphics card.

I have not been "up" on a lot of recent tech, been too distracted with politics for some reason.

Will do, videos are usually helpful!

I read the info at the link given by sl8 and it is a simple enough fix but I need to reboot a couple times and I was waiting to do that later since this isn't a major problem that requires immediate attention.
