Issue with DirecTV app on iPhone
Hi, just posting to see if anyone has had a similar problem and maybe a solution. We've had DirecTV satellite for many years. I have downloaded the DirecTV app on my iPhone SE so I can watch TV on my phone if i want to. It always wored great. A few weeks ago, I got signed out of the app, and out of "TV Provider" on the iPhone settings. Now I can't get logged back into my DirecTV account via the app. I can log in on my PC, and I also could log in to my account on Safari on my iPhone. But when I try to log into the app with the same credentials, it tells me that isn't the ID I signed up with and gives a care code 204.5. I have called DirecTV customer support many times, been sent to the next level support, and they can never fix it. I've changed the password many times. I've googled the problem and seen that others have had it as well. I have deleted the DirecTV app and reinstalled it and cleared the cache to no avail.
I'm wondering if I should get an appointment at an Apple store. When AT&T and DirecTV split up it seems to have caused problems because I have the same login ID on both websites.
Any further suggestions?
