Android Folks! A Question

I've got a misspelled entry in my Chrome browser dictionary.
It keeps coming up as a hot choice when I'm doing a different word. One slip of the finger and it's inserting a misspelled word.
So, I check on line and find how to edit the Chrome dictionary. But,.....
All the instructions say to find the dictionary in the languages file of Chrome Settings.
There is NO EDIT DICTIONARY on that page. I can't find anyway to edit it.
I'm on Chrome 86. Android 6.0.1.
It's not a crisis. Just an annoyance.
And ideas?

...because it's in the dictionary wrong, it doesn't show up as misspelled. I tried what you suggested, but I get no prompts

If I hold a word, all that pops up is a list of other possible words.
No further options to take action.
Oh, well. My error. I live with it.

That's the one I tried.
Those all say that when in Setting>Advanced>Languages there is supposed to be an option for Dictionary or Edit Dictionary. But, those click options don't show up.
Your cite says it should be there, but it's not.

Just annoying because the fix shown online seems so simple. But, the thing they say to do doesn't even exist on my system.
Don't worry about. It will be fine, even if not fixed.

I tried doing what you suggested, but with "dictionary" after the slashes. Same message.
I saw that on another online thing.
Not getting why things that ought to work don't.

Here's one line of what I see.
-chrome://invalidations/-
I couldn't copy more than one line, because everything is a link.
The list is alphabetical, 30-40 lines.

ie, chrome://flags ?

if so, can you clck on it?

ETA: FYI, here is some info on flags. I don't know if the solution for you is within there, but it's worth exploring. Plus, you'll learn some useful tools.

There's a list of options, one of which is called "Show Autofill Predictions". That mean anything?

But, nothing that solves the issue.
That's enough. Don't worry about it further. I'll find a workaround.
Thanks for the effort.

I found out that the Android dictionary and the Chrome dictionary are different.
I can get to the Android dictionary. The offending word isn't even there!
But, it still pops up when I type a common word but am not done. If I bump the space bar, or hit the suggestion bar, right above "t", it changes the word.
I actually did research this (I know, hard to believe), and found out there are 2 personal dictionaries. One, I can edit. The other I can't even find.
Thanks, again.

22. Could you delete the Chrome browser and then reinstall it?

I'll preface this by saying I am not a Android user.

If you don't have many bookmarks, personal settings, etc. you could just delete it and reinstall - which probably will delete the dictionary. If you have lots of bookmarks you should be able to export them and reimport them and then reinstall (don't ask me how though).

If your browser is synced across devices, that idea may not work. But maybe you could edit the dictionary on a synced computer and the change will update your mobile device. (Once again not sure how Android integration works.)

Or if you don't have any devices synced, you might even try syncing them just to edit the dictionary on a computer and then disabling the sync feature when finished if that is your preference. (Not sure what things actually would be synced.)

They told me computers were going to save me time...
