On Android, repeated messages from Google about not backing up my contacts, THEN gone.
I kept ignoring the google messages that I wasn't backing up, I thought oh hell it's a new phone and my contacts are saved on it. After about 48-72 hours. All contacts have disappeared from my phone.
Its a bitch. Messages to important/frequent people are still in it. But just with their numbers. No associated contact info.
I have ONE contact. The one I created last night about 24 hours ago for a pizza place I ordered carry out from.
Any ideas what happened?

(5,771 posts)1. Do you have a gmail account? If so, were they synced?

(7,670 posts)2. I have a gmail account
I don't think it was syncing. I don't really use it.

(5,771 posts)3. That could be bad news...sorry. Google syncs to the gmail account.
The way to check it is to go to the gmail account, login and then go to contacts.google.com. If you see nothing, bad news.
If you see your contacts, then all is ok and you can sync to your phone.
