Mineral rings in toilet bowl (Original Post) ginnyinWI Oct 2012 OP
Pour vinegar into the bowl, let it sit a while. It will dissolve calcium deposits and make it clean uppityperson Oct 2012 #1
that might work... ginnyinWI Oct 2012 #2
We do this regularly. Do it at night or when you leave for the day, also makes the bathroom smell uppityperson Oct 2012 #3

Do you just add some to the water, or try and empty most of the water out and pour it in? I think it would be a lot because I'd need to get up to the usual water line to get at the ring.

I considered turning off the water, emptying the bowl, adding vinegar, but just adding it to the water works well. In a couple hours, brush and flush. And let it smell like a pickley room.

I had the same problem, but also with rust stains.
I bought a pumice stone in the housecleaning supply section at my local Walmart.
You wet the stone, rub the stains and flush.
Quite easy, IMHO, and I'm a disabled senior citizen.

Cost about $2.
