Dick Durbin will be 82 years old in 2026. He has been in Congress(House and Senate) for a total of 44 years plus he previously served 6 years in the IL state senate.

It might not have looked good but Pritzker's never been accused of wrong-doing over that except by Republicans looking to score cheap political points.

If Pritzker wants to be US Senate, He should appoint a caretaker and run for the seat himself in the special election.
