DE US Senator Tom Carper is going to announce tommorow his 2024 US Senate re-election plans. If Carper decides not to seek re-election, At Large DE US Representative Lisa Blunt Rochester is favored to succeed Carper in the US Senate if she decides to run. Blunt Rochester is a black female.
In MD, Prince George’s MD County Executive Angela Alsobrooks is favored to be the Democratic nominee for the 2024 MD US Senate Election to succeed Ben Cardin.
Angela Alsobrooks-MD and Lisa Blunt Rochester-DE will be the 1st black female US Senator from their home state and the 3rd/4th black female US Senator in history.

She definitely would have my vote in a primary.I haven’t heard if Carney has any plans at all or not.

3. Blunt Rochester and Carney could both be serving in the US Senate if Carney runs for the US Senate

and Blunt Rochester runs for re-election to the US House or for Governor. In 2032, Blunt Rochester will finish her second term as Governor and DE other US Senator Chris Coons US Senate term is up in 2032. Coons retires in 2032 and Blunt Rochester replaces Coons in the US Senate.

Carper and Coons will be serving in the US Senate for over 20 years.

5. In 2010 Carney ran for the US House instead of the US Senate. Why was that?

Was it because he thought his Republican opponent was going to be Mike Castle instead of Christine O’Donnell? Republicans nominating Christine O’Donnell over Mike Castle in 2010 is the reason why Chris Coons is serving in the US Senate right now.

I thought she was about the dumbest person in politics until MTG and Boebart came along. It is funny because Chris Coons was more or less put up as a sacrificial lamb assuming Mike Castle would have the nomination, Castle won 11 elections for the Republican party and this is what they did to him. Delaware voters weren’t really used to primaries at that point. Castle a very nice guy he invited me into his office the day after he lost I was there by myself just taking pictures, chatting
