UK Parties: The Green Party, TUSC & Workers Party of Britain

A thread about some of the other left wing parties standing in the 2024 general election. First off is the Green Party, whose first MP Caroline Lucas is stepping down from Parliament, but who are still very competitive in some places.

https://greenparty.org.uk/

Since 1973 the Green Party has been leading the way on action to tackle the climate crisis and nature crisis.

For five decades we have argued powerfully and persuasively in town halls, Westminster and Europe that rapid economic development, powered by fossil fuels and the pursuit of profit, is damaging people and planet and there must be a transition to a green future.

We have achieved a lot. Yet there is so much more to do in what is a “now or never” decade for climate action.

Next up is TUSC (Trade Union & Socialist Coalition), who are one of a number of Socialist groups out there

https://www.tusc.org.uk/

The Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition (TUSC) was set-up in 2010, co-founded by the late Bob Crow, with the primary goal of enabling trade unionists, community campaigners and socialists to stand candidates against pro-austerity establishment politicians.

And lastly we have the latest vehicle for George Galloway, the Workers Party of Britain

https://workerspartybritain.org/

The Workers Party of Britain emerged out of the complete abandonment of the working class majority of Great Britain by Labour. Labour are Labour in name only. Labour do not represent the workers, they serve the elite, the class that does not work: the ruling class. But Labour likes to pretend it is on the side of the workers. It has stolen the name “Labour”. Labour is the wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Please let us know your thoughts about these parties, what you think their electoral chances are and also any other left wing parties that I haven't mentioned!
