Wisconsin Latinos highly likely to vote and favor Harris, poll says
National political polls have led to recent headlines declaring that support among Latino voters is slipping away from Democrats for the coming election. But in Wisconsin and other battleground states, one survey focused exclusively on those voters suggests otherwise.
Latino voters in Wisconsin are more tuned in to the election than ever, have strong feelings about candidates and issues and still lean heavily progressive, according to the newly released results of a poll from the nonprofit Hispanic Federation.
The national polls misrepresent the views of most Latino voters, according to Frankie Miranda, CEO of the Hispanic Federation, which advocates for the rights of Latino people across America. Those surveys have presented the favorability margin between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump as very narrow among Latino voters, Miranda told the Cap Times.
But the Hispanic Federation specifically targeted a wider swath of Latino voters 1,900 across seven swing states and its poll shows vastly different results.
In Wisconsin, the poll showed 69% of those surveyed were certain they would vote in Novembers election. Another 16% were most likely going to vote.
