Tim Walz to campaign in Wausau as part of post-debate swing state blitz
MADISON – Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz will campaign in Wausau on Friday, the Harris-Walz campaign told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Walz, the governor of Minnesota and a former member of Congress, accepted the party's nomination as Vice President Kamala Harris's running mate at the Democratic National Convention last month in Chicago.
The Walz visit to Wausau is part of a campaign effort to barnstorm battleground states following Tuesday's debate between Harris and Republican former President Donald Trump.
The Harris-Walz campaign has pledged to hit every media market in every battleground state in the coming week, with Harris starting in North Carolina and heading to Pennsylvania. Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff and Minnesota First Lady Gwen Walz are also scheduled to campaign. Gwen Walz is scheduled to attend a debate watch party in La Crosse on Tuesday night.
