A drive through the driftless region the other day

Took a five hour drive through southwest Wisconsin's driftless region on Wednesday, passing through a few small towns and driving along a number of county roads. The number of Trump Pence signs was disturbing and I found myself raising my middle finger as I drove by each home or place of business, quietly telling the inhabitants to go fuck themselves. I wasn't always like this and the simmering anger and fear that rests deep inside me disturbs me... I don't want to hate these faceless people but I do. Stopped at a Casey's for gas and something to drink and of course the people in the store were maybe 50 percent complaint with the mask mandate, the store clerk had hers on her chin. Fucking people. I did see more than a few Biden signs and I hope the number jumps as the days and weeks go by. I'm already sick of the political ads and it is only August, it's going to be a very long fall.

For those unfamiliar with it, the driftless region is gorgeous. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Driftless_Area

I throw the fickle finger of fate at every tRump/pence sign I see as well. How can people be so stupid? I just don't understand it. It defies all logic, but I guess logic takes a back seat when autocratic despots are trying to takeover our country.

In the next city over where I go biking several times a week (my path takes me there), I see many Trump/Pence signs and that really disturbs me. My Biden/Harris t-shirt will be delivered soon and I plan to where it on that biking route! Oh, I did see one Anybody But Trump sign which made me smile.

A lot of racists and non-readers in rural parts. They prefer their skyscrapers are filled with corn.

This includes many of my relatives and in-laws. I don't get to hear their offensive language anymore, being 100+ miles away.

And more and more Trump/Pence yardsigns are going up. Reminded me too much of 2016.

Repukes give them away. Dems made me pay up to $7 per sign. I was really pissed.
Party leaders says sign not effective way to spend $. To which I said, you are making me pay for them. How is that not cost effective.
