I concur with Rothchild.
............We need to make relationships with people who dont agree with us and engage in conversation, he said.
Rothschild also called for an end to the petty divisiveness among progressive among Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders supporters, on social media and in social circles.
Its corrosive. Weve got enough problems, he said.
Moore echoed that sentiment, recalling how she was furious in the immediate aftermath of Trumps election with all the political blocs who didnt do enough to elect Clinton.
We have to forgive each other; collectively we have created the environment that gave us Donald Trump, she said. Thats what Republicans who had turned up their noses at Trump ultimately did for self-preservation.
For progressives trying to reinvigorate a movement, its even more important. Dont make perfect the enemy of the good, Moore counseled........................................

(47,209 posts)1. My friend claimed Wisconsin was particularly bad because people "weren't allowed" to volunteer for
HRC because they worked for other campaigns before the primary was over. When we examined that, he admitted of course they could volunteer but why weren't they allowed to run and manage the campaigns locally? So since they weren't given leadership positions they got angry and complained they were left out. Bullshit.

those lines elsewhere? We hoped they were rumors. But there are lots of Sanders supporters in WI but there ones I knew voted for HRC.

(47,209 posts)3. My friend thought it was fine that they thought hey could slide into leadership positions when their
Support was so soft, or so begrudging that they'd not be willing to help.
