An end to W.Va.'s inspection sticker?

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - The West Virginia inspection sticker -- a safety net for some, a nuisance for others and a reality that could be scraped off for good, according to a lead lawmaker.

But its potential disappearance isn’t being applauded by everyone.

“The data does not bear out that states that have a safety inspection are any safer than states that do not,” Linville replied.

West Virginia State Police currently receive $3 from every inspection. Linville said lawmakers would make up the difference, if annual inspection stickers disappear.

The State Police might roll over on this one if they think it will not result in any loss of funding.

poorly regulated coal waste disposal and mountain top removal. This latest experiment in radical anti-regulation will result in more lives lost. C'mon, citizens of West Virginia, wake up and smell the instant coffee.
