Everett Pride to return with events Saturday, Sunday
EVERETT Pride celebrations will return to Snohomish Countys largest city this weekend when Everett Prides fourth annual block party kicks off Saturday.
The all-ages event, expected to draw thousands of people to the intersection of Wall Street and Wetmore Avenue later this week, will be a celebration of LGBTQ+ culture, featuring musical artists, DJs, drag performances, along with about 100 vendors selling goods and food.
Last year, about 7,000 people attended the block party, said Kevin Daniels, one of the co-founders of the Everett Pride nonprofit that hosts the event. Every year its happened, organizers have been unlucky with the weather, he said.
But this year, the weather seems pretty nice and sunny, Daniels said. Were actually very excited and we hope that the good weather, and all the excitement going on in Everett around the World Cup, helps bring additional people.
