The new Lake Stevens Library on track to open late 2026
LAKE STEVENS Construction for the new Lake Stevens Library is on schedule for an expected opening later this year.
A Friday tour of the site on 99th Avenue Northeast, just north of Market Place in Lake Stevens, showed the progress of the construction.
Construction remains on track to finish this year, and it takes a lot once construction is done to fill it up with the books and the shelves and everything, said Chy Ross, Sno-Isle Libraries assistant director of capital strategy and planning, on Friday. We dont have a date yet, but we look forward to welcoming the community.
The new building stands two stories high and covers 15,000 square feet. The current library has been in a 5,000-square-foot temporary location at 2211 Grade Road since 2021, after the 1985 Lake Stevens Library building was torn down as part of the citys downtown revitalization project.
