King County Democrats select nominees to succeed Joe Nguyễn, Tana Senn, and possibly Emily Alvarado in 34th and 41st Dis
With Democratic lawmakers Joe Nguyễn and Tana Senn having taken positions in Bob Fergusons new administration, the King County Democratic Central Committee (KCDCC) today convened two special nominating caucuses of Democratic precinct committee officers from the 34th and 41st Legislative Districts to fulfill the partys constitutional obligation to nominate three candidates to fill each vacancy.
Anticipating that Nguyễn will be succeeded by State Representative Emily Alvarado, the 34th caucus also selected nominees to fill a possible House vacancy.
In total, three groups of three nominees were chosen.
Each list will now be submitted to the King County Council once the KCDCCs executive board has finished ratifying the results of the special nominating caucuses.
