Roundabout project to shut down major Bothell intersection for months

LYNNWOOD — A key intersection east of Lynnwood will close for months this summer as crews build a roundabout.

The roundabout will go in at the four-way intersection where Larch Way meets Locust Way, near Logan Park. Snohomish County will close the intersection June 25, with plans to reopen it Sept. 4, ahead of the school year starting. Hilltop Elementary is less than a mile from the intersection.

The intersection is currently controlled by four stop signs. About 10,000 vehicles pass through daily. Crews will also build a pedestrian walkway.

Logan Park’s parking lot will be closed during construction, but the park is open to foot traffic. Work began at the intersection in May.
