City of Harrisonburg sets temporary voting locations for April special election

HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) — Three Harrisonburg polling locations will be relocated for the special election on April 21 due to facility availability, according to a release from the Harrisonburg Voter Registrar’s office.

The polling location changes are only in effect on April 21 for the special election to vote on Virginia’s redistricting referendum and “all polling locations are expected to return to their usual sites for future elections,” the city said. Affected voters will receive mail notices about their temporary polling location if they plan to vote in person on Election Day.

- For those living in Precinct 102 — East Central and normally vote at Spotswood Elementary School, they will vote instead at Harrisonburg City Hall at 409 S. Main St.
- For voters in Precinct 202 — Southwest who normally cote at Keister Elementary School, they will vote at the Heritage Oaks Golf Course Club House at 680 Garbers Church Rd.
- Lastly, for voters in Precinct 203 — West whose normal polling place is Thomas Harrison Middle School, they will vote at Price Rotary Senior Center at Westover Park at 309 S. Dogwood Dr.

All other Harrisonburg polling locations will stay unchanged. The changed locations are only temporary and in effect for the April 21 special election.
