(15,560 posts)completed his second term as mayor of Nashville, during a time of unprecedented growth and elevated national exposure. He is one of the few Tennessee Democrats with the credibility, popularity and statewide visibility to be a serious contender in the gubernatorial race. I am glad to see the names of such heavy-hitters among his supporters and early endorsers.
