An 18-year-old man was arrested Christmas Eve on a felony arson charge for allegedly leaving a flaming bag of dog feces on the porch of a Shippensburg home, police said.
Police and firefighters were dispatched to the home on the 200 block of West King Street for a porch fire.
Dylan J. Printz was identified as the suspect, according to borough police. He was arrested and charged with single counts of arson and risking catastrophe as well as four counts of recklessly endangering another person.
Printz was held at Cumberland County Prison in lieu of $20,000 bail.

This is no joke (though it should be). Law and order to the extreme unless there is some other detail I'm missing.

(3,564 posts)My porch is made of cement so not going to happen with me. A terrible gesture on Christmas but to sit someone in jail on $20K bail there better have been a small fire going when that person got to the door (and maybe there was since the fire company responded).

(28,295 posts)The apartment next to her caught on fire and it destroyed two units of her small building while she was asleep - thank goodness the fire moved the other direction and no one was injured, though two people lost their homes (and here in Seattle finding a new place to live that's affordable is nearly impossible). So, I find it really serious, and if they had four arson counts, probably a little bit more than a small fire on a cement porch.

(3,564 posts)There's probably more going on here than meets the eye. Could be this person has terrorized this residence for a long time or there's some other vendetta going on and this was just a convenient way to put a stop to it. On face value it seems to be going a bit far IMHO.

(14,875 posts)I am glad they never caught me doing this prank. The idea is to light a bag of dog poop and place it outside the front door. This is used against an ass in the hood. When he comes out to stomp out the fire he finds his shoe is full of dog poop. $20000 bond is incredibly high for a prank. A bag of dog poop is not going to catch a porch or house on fire

The idea is not to get caught. In fact when I did it I hid on the street and had to keep from laughing out loud.
