LGBT advocates to rally during conservative Christian author's speech at Lancaster Bible College

Protesters will gather Tuesday outside Lancaster Bible College’s campus, where conservative author and religious liberty advocate Ryan T. Anderson will speak at an event sponsored by the Pennsylvania Family Institute.

Anderson, author of “When Harry Became Sally: Responding to the Transgender Moment,” “What is Marriage? Man and Woman: A Defense” and other books related to sexuality and religious freedom, is scheduled to speak at 7 p.m. today inside the college’s Good Shepherd Chapel, 901 Eden Road.

The speech is part of a weeklong youth leadership conference with events planned throughout the state by the Pennsylvania Family Institute, which is renting the private college’s facility, a spokesman for the institute confirmed Monday.

Lancaster Bible College spokesman Keith Baum said Monday that the college is not affiliated with the event, nor does it “have anything to do with our policies.”
