At least 95 heat deaths in Oregon alone, governor says

The heat wave that has gripped the Pacific Northwest for a week has caused at least 95 deaths in the state of Oregon.

Gov. Kate Brown announced the findings Sunday morning on “Face the Nation.”

“Following events like this we always do reviews and see what we can do better next time,” the two-term Democratic governor said.

Brown said the high number in her state was “absolutely unacceptable.”
