Wyden's challengers:

What do we know about them?

I myself know nothing, so am beginning the process of learning about them. I see that Paul Weaver is listed in my voter's pamphlet but didn't provide a statement. Kevin Stine did, and is linking himself to Sanders, which, on the surface, is a plus. What else?

Wyden's kind of a fixture though, no?

And I'm on the red side of the mountains.

There are some other challengers for other offices to take a look at as well. I'm just starting.

I hadn't studied my voters' pamphlet in depth as of yet, and thus didn't note that Paul Weaver is running against Sen. Wyden. Since he provided no info, it's tough to know what he's about. I'm impressed by Kevin Stine, based on his write-up, but it's gonna be a stretch for me not to vote for Ron, he's been such a force for Oregon during his tenure. I'll weigh my decision carefully, of course. I'm thinking Kevin has a real future in Oregon politics. Hope the Democratic party appreciates and supports him!

Hope your year is going well. Mighty nice Spring we've having hereabouts! Take care.

and I'm hanging on. Maybe we can meet up again this summer, after I've had a chance to catch my breath.

Stine...yes. I'm going to be paying attention to him. I may even give him a primary vote. I expect Wyden will prevail, and he'll get my vote in November, but it's good to see some fresh perspectives offered.

Yes, would like very much to get together in the not-too-distant future. We can touch bases on logistics when you've caught your breath. Meanwhile, it's on to the primaries, and for the first time, I do believe I'm feelin' the Bern.

Take care and courage!
