In-N-Out's first Oregon restaurant to open Sept. 9

In-N-Out's first Oregon restaurant to open Sept. 9

In Medford, not that far from California. Apparently that allows proximity to an existing distribution center. This would not have been the case had they opened in Portland.

Prepare to wait: Medford In-N-Out opening likely to bring heavy traffic, 3-4 hour long lines

Get your Instagram accounts and your orders ready.

Oregon's first In-N-Out will start flipping burgers and mixing milkshakes on Wednesday, Sept. 9, restaurant officials confirmed.

The store, No. 304, marks the sixth state the burger giant has opened restaurants in, after California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah and Texas. Sept. 9 is also founder Harry Snyder's birthday and the opening will be dedicated to Snyder's memory with a bronze plaque.
....

Medford officials are expecting upwards of 300 cars and wait times of 3-4 hours, The Mail Tribune reported. Opening traffic will likely back up onto Highway 62 from all the cars heading into the Rogue Valley Mall.

Burgers and fries, properly greasy and sinfully good.

Supposed to have a "secret menu" where if you ask for certain weird things, they can give you extra toppings and make everything really squishy.

Very popular with its own fans.

There was a funny video a couple years back, when they opened one in Texas. People lined up out the wazoo.

I live in Florida and we used to have Whataburger, which I think is owned by the same company, but I wish they would come back. I live near Tampa, and I remember their stuff was pretty good. Liked the burgers and chicken tenders.

Still too far from Portland, but it's a giant step in the right direction.

Went to In-n-Out last year when I visited SoCal to be the best man in my college buddy's wedding.

Nothing special. Don't understand the hype.

I guess we are now callus to them...there are at least 4 in the area...one is 6-7 minutes away.

It's pretty fast...freshly made...all the stores are virtually identical and they really make the kids tow the mark on uniforms and personality. And always busy...always.

We've found that they are best eaten on the spot...if anyone remembers Married With Children and the "Weenie Tots", that's what we think of this food...do not expose to air!

When they did some major remodeling then as noted here:

http://www.oregonlive.com/tualatin/index.ssf/2013/08/first_chik-fil-a_in_oregon_may.html

Perhaps they didn't want to be located at the site of a former strip club with the name that they have too.

But now it looks like they're planning to put a restaurant in Hillsboro as their first restaurant here not too far from where I live! YUCH! I just found out they're also building a new Wal-Mart only about a mile or so away from where I live too now! There's a poll here that Duers should respond to let them know how we feel about their politics!

Why couldn't they get some better restaurants expanding here in Portland area like In-N-Out or Rubio's instead!
