Oklahoma #3 for Maternity Care Deserts (Across the Desk)

This week on Across the Desk, Kit Fairchild talks about how gerrymandering in Oklahoma has lead to extreme right wing ideology when it comes to healthcare for women when it comes to making laws and regulations that target doctors and healthcare providers with steep penalties for nothing more than practicing the best and most professional care they can provide their patients. And we are not talking 'abortion' here. We are talking about maternity care for women who want to keep the baby! Extremism in our laws are keeping the best medical professionals away from our state and in some cases, they are leaving the state, creating maternity care deserts in over half of the counties in Oklahoma...

But why not put women't health care clinics on military bases, which are federal property?

Health Care on the military bases (guaranteed). But you have to be either Military, Military Dependent or Federal Employee to use the services. Possibly retired military, but not sure there because they have the VA.

Then, you have the Native American Reservations - and I suspect that they are independent of the State’s extreme views.
