Local gay couple anxiously awaits Supreme Court decision on constitutionality of gay marriage laws

Tuesday is Mary Bishop and Sharon Baldwin's 13-year anniversary. But their commitment to each other is not 13 years of marriage, because gay marriage is illegal in Oklahoma.

So Mary and Sharon are fighting for gay marriage with a lawsuit against the state. They hope what comes out of court will boost their efforts.

"When we fill out forms we have to check single, instead of married, because otherwise we'd be committing fraud on a legal document," Bishop said.

I thought it was interesting that supporters of "traditional" marriage didn't return media phone calls or respond to emails.
