Trump appointee sues Democratic bosses at Oklahoma State University

STILLWATER — An associate professor who served in the Trump administration is alleging Democrats at Oklahoma State University denied her a promotion because of her political beliefs.

Whitney Bailey sued five OSU administrators Monday in Payne County District Court for actual, punitive and exemplary damages.

She also is alleging she was not permitted to resume her previous teaching assignments after leaving the Trump administration and coming back to OSU in January.

"Plaintiff's employment with OSU did not and does not require political allegiance," her attorneys complained in the lawsuit. "Defendants' unlawful conduct was motivated by evil motive or intent and involved reckless or callous indifference to Plaintiff's federally protected rights."
