Oklahoma City police officer arrested on domestic abuse complaints
An Oklahoma City police officer has been arrested on domestic abuse complaints, a police spokesman has confirmed Wednesday.
Kristi Cox Brewer, 28, was arrested about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday and booked at the Oklahoma County jail early Wednesday morning on complaints of misdemeanor domestic abuse in the presence of a minor child and domestic assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, jail records show.
Capt. Paco Balderrama, a spokesman for the Oklahoma City Police Department, said Brewer and her husband got into an argument at 11 p.m. Tuesday. That argument escalated into a physical fight, and Brewer struck her husband in the head with a curling iron during the altercation, Balderrama said.
Both Brewer and her husband had injuries as a result of the altercation, Balderrama said. Brewer's husband's injuries were significant, he said.
