Sen. Jim Inhofe says climate change extremists 'are not going to give up'
Changing climate: U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe told a conservative conference (Barack) Obamas war on fossil fuels is temporarily over, but warned climate change deniers to be vigilant because the former president built a culture of radical alarmists.
Liberal extremists are not going to give up, Inhofe said during a presentation at the Heartland Institute International Conference on Climate Change.
The Heartland Institute first made a name for itself in the 1990s by arguing that smoking and second-hand smoke were not as dangerous as portrayed. More recently, it has taken a hard line against climate change science. In 2012, it launched a quickly aborted advertising campaign featuring likenesses of Unabomber Ted Kaczynski, Charles Manson and Fidel Castro with the message the most prominent advocates of global warming arent scientists. They are murderers, tyrants, and madmen.
Elsewhere, the House Science, Space and Technology Committee, whose members include Oklahoma Congressmen Jim Bridenstine and Frank Lucas, has scheduled a hearing for Wednesday that is expected to be an attack on climate science.
