COLUMBUS, Ohio - A bill aimed at tamping down perceived liberal bias at Ohio colleges that failed last legislative session is back and the newest version contains more requirements for schools.
Senate Bill 1 will be sponsored by state Sen. Jerry Cirino of Kirtland, he said during a news conference on Wednesday.
It is called Senate Bill 1 for a reason, Cirino said. It is our top priority.
The bill in many respects goes further than his previous bill. It completely bans faculty strikes and DEI trainings, reduces terms for trustees and requires new trustee trainings.

(62,147 posts)3. The Ohio State University brings in more than $19 BILLION yearly to the state's economy.
And employs over 117,000 workers.
The football team alone brings in over $300 MILLION a year.
And pays for the band and most of the rest of the athletic department and scholarships.
OSU prides itself on being liberal, diverse and has given a fortune away in scholarships
to diverse groups and the needy. It is an accepting and welcoming community to all.
This state senator can kiss my ass and go to hell.
That is all.
