Canfield schools places $64 million bond issue on November ballot
CANFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) Canfield voters who expressed concern over the previous facility master plan for the Canfield Local School District will have the option to fund a revised plan come November.
The school district said after receiving community concerns over the previous facility master plan, it introduced a revised version that would be funded by a $64,190,000 bond issue. The issue is set to appear on the Nov. 5 ballot.
The district said in a release that the bond issue reflects its commitment to balancing the need for essential facility improvement with fiscal responsibility.
Homeowners will see a millage cost of $10.79 per month per $100,000 of appraised property value, according to the Mahoning County Auditors Office. This plan significantly reduces the financial impact on the community compared to prior proposals, according to a news release from the district.
