Toledo police investigating bomb threat found at Jeep plant

TOLEDO, Ohio — Toledo police were on the scene of a reported bomb threat at the Toledo Assembly Complex in north Toledo late Monday night.

When officers arrived they met with plant managers and the security manager, who said an unknown suspect wrote a message in one of the men's bathrooms that indicated a bomb might be on the premises.

TPD crews along with plant security and plant personnel searched the premises, but nothing suspicious was found. Sgt. Taylor from the bomb squad and a canine unit also responded to the scene.

The plant continued to operate through the search and there were no injuries.

Profits before people. Workers said they only learned about the threat after receiving worried calls from friends and relatives. At no point did management or officials from the United Auto Workers inform workers of the threat.
