PPP: Clinton has lead in N.C. for first time since March; N.C. is a must-win for Trump

For the first time since March Hillary Clinton is leading Donald Trump in a new Public Policy Polling survey in the battleground state of North Carolina.

Her 2-point lead is narrow and within the poll’s margin of error, but it’s significant because many politicos say Trump needs the Tar Heel state’s 15 electoral votes to have a chance at capturing the White House.

Clinton, observers say, has many other paths to victory in the November presidential race, if North Carolina remains a red state.

The survey — released Tuesday by the Democratic polling firm in Raleigh — found Clinton with 43 percent, followed by Trump with 41 percent.
