was in Raleigh driving behind an SUV today and the back window made me verklumpt.

on the right it said, "Thank you Pop Joe! An American Hero" and in the middle simply "Kamala"

I wanted to get a picture so much, but we were driving.

i get tearful at this stuff. it's so fucking important.

The Triangle would be the only part of the state where I would think I might see something like this. There was a time when Charlotte would have been another place, but that changed once the stadium and the banks took over the city.

and somehow I ended up in a red island I guess. I recall registering voters in 2008 and 3 out of 5 were republicans. Now I live in Durham, very reliably blue, very diverse, if I can't be in CA I'm glad I'm in Durham!

I lived there from 1981 till 1990. One side of the family is from just south of there. I miss living there.
