To me, New Mexico stands out as a state that Gore won by a mere 430 votes or so. Also, my baby sister has been there. I have seen a photo of her and mom standing on the four corners. But I understand they moved that monument so maybe she wasn't 'really' in New Mexico.

(16,032 posts)Went to high school in Albuquerque in the '60s, then went back for a few years in the '70s. I've been back for a couple of class reunions and managed to get lost both times, the city has really grown! One of my favorite memories -- watching the morning clouds do a slow waterfall down the face of Sandia Peak, gorgeous! And I can still remember the yummy taquitos and guacamole at Mac's Steak-in-the-Rough, mmmmmmmm.
Infirmities of age now make it difficult to travel. But if I can ever figure out a way to get there and get around while there, I will do it!
