(26,608 posts)Do many people have their cars stolen while in a store in Albuquerque? Really?
I live in Santa Fe, and am not aware of any such problem.

(26,608 posts)I guess my decision to move to Santa Fe instead of ABQ eleven years ago was a very good one.

(8,604 posts)ABQ, not so much. I lived there for 10 years, said I would never go back. I swear, you could not leave ANYTHING outside in your yard overnight as it would be gone the next morning.
I was hoping it had improved but then I just found this:
With a crime rate of 89 per one thousand residents, Albuquerque has one of the highest crime rates in America compared to all communities of all sizes - from the smallest towns to the very largest cities. One's chance of becoming a victim of either violent or property crime here is one in 11.

(767 posts)In the past you did not want to be in Stockton when it got dark. I see California big valley cities made the list. I am so glad my vehicles are over 15 year old. The cons want new cars they can sell versus a nice running vehicle. I think it is safe for me to go to Modesto or Stockton during the day!!!
