1. I'm a Jersey Girl originally and want Kim to get this. I can still see him cleaning up that mess on his hands and knees

I'm not sure what, exactly, Tammy Murphy is about. I understand from another correspondent in this forum that she's a former Republican of a vintage of about 10 years ago.

Being Phil's wife does not, to my mind, constitute qualifications for this job. An article in the local media indicates she's been embellishing her resume, certainly not at the George Santos level, but exaggerating her role.

To me, Andy Kim is everything that is great about New Jersey; a true Jersey guy, representing the district where he went to Kindergarten, the school his kids are in.

Not only does he ooze integrity, but as the son of immigrants, he knows what this country should be and he has a strong background in international affairs.

Anyway...

It's none of my business of course, but I can't imagine leaving New Jersey for DeSantis land. I had to go to two scientific conferences there, in DeSantis land, this year and I just couldn't wait to leave the state. I felt like I had cooties just being there.

New Jersey strikes me as nirvana; Florida strikes me as something out of Dante.

My wife sometimes demurs, although she loves NJ too but may not want to die here, but I definitely want to die in New Jersey as a result of being here as often as I can.

How is it you left New Jersey, for Florida no less? I'll understand if you don't answer, but because it's something I can't imagine doing, I''m curious.

I've had some good jobs down here and I love the weather. I have no desire to live in Jersey (The Shore) anymore, taxes are un-believable but I do miss my friends. I'll be 84 in '24 so I'm pretty well set down here. Also, I really hate the cold and love the weather down here, not the last week or so but generally it's always beautiful weather.

I assumed that the state or county organization "helpfully" signed me up for her mailings. (I sent the mailing to the spam folder and unsubbed, for good measure.)

Andy Kim is my representative, and damned good one. I'll be proud to call him my Senator.
