Split on fetal homicide issue hits governor's race in NH

A prominent New Hampshire pro-life activist wants state Sen. Jeanie Forrester to stop touting a 100 percent rating from New Hampshire Right to Life for 2014.

NHRTL President Jane Cormier writes in a letter to the editor in today’s Union Leader that Forrester should stop citing the rating from two years ago, because it could confuse voters into thinking NHRTL has endorsed Forrester’s run for governor this year.

The NHRTL political action committee has endorsed freshman Republican state Rep. Frank Edelblut in the Sept. 13 GOP primary.

Forrester’s campaign countered that the 100 percent NHRTL rating is the most recent data available since the group has yet to give Forrester a 2016 score.
