Police are crediting a dog with leading the way to a serious crash on Interstate 89, helping save the lives of two people, including her owner.
At first, police thought 1-year-old Tinsley was a lost dog, but the Shiloh shepherd was on a life-saving mission. She was seen Monday night running on the Veterans Memorial Bridge on I-89 connecting Lebanon to White River Junction, Vermont.
Officers tried to corral her, but she kept running away, leading them to damaged guardrails.
Almost alerting them to what was off the roadway, where they discovered a truck which had been overturned with two gentlemen that were ejected from the vehicle, said New Hampshire State Police Lt. Daniel Baldassare.
Cam Laundry, Tinsleys owner, was behind the wheel of the overturned Ford truck.
She's my little guardian angel," Laundry said. "It's a miracle that she had that kind of intelligence to do what she did."
At that time, there was some hypothermia had set in," Baldassare said. "It's unclear how long they were out of the vehicle for. The dog also was wet, so you can tell it'd been outside for a little bit."
We were shaken up, didn't know what was happening. Next thing we know, the cops were there, and it was all because of her, Laundry said.
