OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The Nebraska Humane Society confiscated several animals, including a zebra, from a West Omaha home on Thursday.

NHS said they received an anonymous tip about a residence near 195th and Pacific streets, northwest of Shadow Ridge Country Club, and obtained a warrant to search the property.

Upon arrival, NHS personnel found several different types of animals, ranging from dogs, cats, ducks, and geese to ponies, goats, and donkeys, and even an emu, alpacas, and a zebra.

“Many of the animals were emaciated, lacked appropriate living conditions and some of the livestock had overgrown hooves,” the NHS release states. … About 60 animals were confiscated by authorities.

the ODOR ALONE would be enough to smack you in the face like a wall within 30 feet of walking up to it.

Not unusual in America for some rich dude to desire his/her own private zoo and starting it without proper planning or consideration of long-term consequences.......

I wonder if those who imported and supplied the exotics to this land owner will be investigated and charged.

According to various news reports, all 60 or so animals are now being examined and cared for at the Humane Society facilities in Omaha.......
