Metro Transit's Bus to Ballot program offers fare-free rides on Election Day

OMAHA, Neb. — You can bus to the ballot box in Omaha this Election Day.

Metro Transit is providing fare-free rides on Nov. 5 with the Bus to Ballot program.

Anyone can board a Metro Bus or ORBT for free all day for the general election, according to officials.

"Part of Metro's mission is to connect people to places that matter, including the ballot box," Daniel Lawse, Metro Board Chair, said in a statement. "Bus to Ballot helps ensure transportation is not a barrier for people to exercise this important right."
