Palmer Public Schools will have a bond on this year's ballot
PALMER, Neb. (KSNB) - As many people know, its an election year, which means politicians arent the only ones looking to get your vote. Palmer Public Schools hosted an open house, and the goal is to show the community why a $12.9 million bond is needed.
The school is looking to address their growing population by adding four classrooms and dedicated spaces within the building to provide dedicated spaces for the school psychologist and licensed mental health practitioner. The school also wants to provide a second gym.
Adding a second gym would greatly benefit all after school activities, because most programs utilize the gym in some capacity. Paving the parking lot is something the school also wants to address.
Superintendent, Joel Bohlken said that will help drainage, and the entrance would move to that side as well. Recently, they installed new carpet and gave the school a new paint job. Bohlken said this is all to prepare for whats ahead.
