In 2022, Jamie Johnson achieved a groundbreaking feat by becoming the first African American elected to represent Platte County in the Missouri Legislature. Joining this community from New Orleans as a Hurricane Katrina evacuee 17 years prior, Jamie found solace in the embrace of the Northland community, who wholeheartedly supported her family in building a brand-new life in the state of Missouri.
Jamie's dedication to serving others stems from her formative years, growing up in a military household that instilled the values of selflessness and duty. With her father and 11 other family members having proudly served in the military, Jamie carries their legacy with an immense sense of pride and gratitude.
