CONGRATULATIONS to Tim Walz and Peggy Flannagan.....

My dear and close friend, Tim Walz and Peggy Flannagan are on their way to becoming Minnesota's next Governor and Lt. Governor. What a dynamic duo they make.

Tim's 12 years in the US House has groomed him to continue his leadership and knowledge to serve the good people of Minnesota for years to come. Tim debates on the merits of the facts,. never denigrating his opponents. He served with honor in the Minnesota Army National Guard for 24 years, retiring as a Command Sargeant Major, a position that does not come lightly by any means. One must prove many attributes to earn that rank. A Teacher for 20 years at Mankato West and 2 time State Football Champion.

Tim Walz, in the 13 years I have known him, is not one to be intimidated easily. His command of the facts in presenting his argument leaves his opponents in the dust. He is as persuasive as he is passionate. He has earned the respect of Veterans here in the 1st CD, as well as all over the State. His support amongst Farmers in Minnesota makes him strong on Agricultural issues as well. For he serves on both House Veteran's Affairs and Ag committees. His knowledge makes him the strongest candidate to go head to heas with whomever the MNGOP puts up.

Tim's choice of Peggy Flannagan is nothing short of genius. She is an equal partner on this team. I do not know her as well as I do Tim, but I have no doubt that this dynamic duo will serve Minnesota well.

Victory in November for Tim and Peggy.

5. Tim Walz has two very important jobs to do this fall.

Of course, he needs to win the governorship. We very sorely need him in the governor's mansion. But he also needs to do all he can to ensure that Dan Feehan wins his old congressional seat in CD 1.

It's impossible to overstate how much is riding on a Democratic takeover of the House this November. It might be tempting for Walz to to focus his campaign efforts elsewhere in the state, secure in the knowledge that his popularity in CD 1 will bring in that district's votes for him. But I think it's very important for him to be down in his home district as well, campaigning hard for Feehan.

Walz's word carries a lot of weight with the people of Southern Minnesota. They've proven that six times in a row at the polls. His enthusiastic campaigning on behalf of Feehan could be just what it takes to assure them that Feehan is the candidate they can rely on to serve them the way Walz has.

Now, I know Tim Walz is a wise and experienced politician who has probably given plenty of thought to all of this already, without any need for me to tell him. Nonetheless, if you have his ear - as you seem to - it might bear mentioning.
