MN-AG: Ellison holds a 7% lead over Shutz in Democratic primary poll

Looking ahead to the general election in November, DFL candidate Keith Ellison is ahead of GOP-endorsed Ron Schutz, but many voters are still undecided.

Ellison, the second-term incumbent, receives 44% of the vote today, with Schutz at 37% and 19% undecided.

By demographic:

- Ellison garnered just 3% more votes from men while women skewed more heavily toward the incumbent.
- Younger voters lean toward Ellison but it’s almost a tie among older voters, with Schutz even pulling ahead slightly in the 50-64 age range.
- Moderates are currently skewed toward Ellison but 28% say they’re undecided, leaving the race very much up in the air.
